Community Guidelines

Headsub is an online service for bringing video effects designers in contact with video effects users. As a member you can share templates that you have created and these templates can be customised by other members. Headsub can render a high quality video file of these customised templates and members can download this for a fee.

The following Community Guidelines are here to help you understand what it means to be a member of Headsub. Don't forget that your use of Headsub is subject to these Guidelines and our Terms of Use.

What to do

- Play nice.
We're a community of many types of people, who all have the right to feel comfortable and who may not think what you think, believe what you believe or see what you see. So, be polite and respectful in your interactions with other members.

- Respect copyrights.
Respect the copyright of others. This means: don't use materials (e.g. photos, fonts, videos, templates) that other people have created and you do not have written permission for to use.

- Moderate your own content.
You need to take responsibility for ensuring that what you upload is appropriately flagged.
Please note that although you may upload safe and moderate content in your opinion, other members might not share this opinion. When in doubt, please do not upload the specific material.

-Work Together
Headsub offers (and promotes) the opportunity for designers to work together. The income of a template can be shared amongst several designers. One might build a 3D object, another designs a font, etcetera. Working together can be fun and result in far better templates than you could have made single handedly!

What not to do

In most circumstances, we like to give second chances, so we’ll send you a warning if you step across any of the lines listed below. Subsequent violations can result in account termination without warning.

- Don’t upload anything that isn't yours.
This includes other people's photos, video and/or stuff you've collected from around the Internet. Accounts that consist primarily of such collections may be terminated at any time.

- Don’t forget the children.
Take the opportunity to filter your content responsibly. If you would hesitate to show your photos or videos to a child, your mum, or Uncle Bob, that means it needs to be filtered. So, ask yourself that question as you upload your content. If you don’t, it’s likely that another member will mark it as a violation and your account will be reviewed by Headsub. If the violation report appears to be valid, your account can be terminated without further notice.

- Don’t upload content that is illegal or prohibited.
If this kind of behaviour is reported to us an we find you doing that, your account will be deleted and we'll take appropriate action, which may include reporting you to the authorities.

-Don’t vent your frustrations.
Headsub is not a venue for you to harass, abuse, impersonate, or intimidate others. It is also prohibited to upload material that contains politics, erotism, pornography, hate or racism. If we receive a valid complaint about your conduct, we’ll send you a warning or terminate your account.

- Other People (their templates, their behavior)
You will see all sorts of things on Headsub. If you are offended by a photo, video or remark you can either click away or you can mark it as a violation by clicking on the "Report violation" link .

-Copyright Infringement.
If you see photos, videos or fonts - that you’ve created - in another member’s template, don't panic. This is probably just a misunderstanding and not malicious. A good first step is to contact them and politely ask them to remove it. If that doesn't work, please use the 'report violation' link and Headsub will look at the matter. But there is an even better option: Work together!
